This just came out on DVD, for those of us who appreciate a true individualist who embodies what motorcycling - and life - are all about. A must see.

I watched the movie and every special feature in it, including the documentary about the real Burt Munro. Pretty much everything they show in the movie happened, including Burt casting his own pistons, making his own cylinders, cutting the tread off of his tires with a carving knife to make high speed tires (!) and of course, the land speed record for a streamlined bike under 1000cc.
Those were the days, man. You could build your own bike on a shoestring if you wanted to.

Gotta see it.
Let's see what the Father's Day Bunny brings before I run out and buy it.

Gotta see it. Let's see what the Father's Day Bunny brings before I run out and buy it. I don't know if you were ever one of those guys who scrounged part for an ancient bike at swap meets, made them yourself, or modified other parts to work, but I did. It reminded me of my days with that old rigid frame, flathead Harley.
