Just want to note for the record that being able to watch the old classics from start to finish, no commercials or editing for time slots is a real pleasure. It's amazing how much gets cut even for cable channels like TCM and AMC. I recently watched "In Harm's Way" uncut for the very first time and was amazed how much better and smoothly the story ran, and how much of the supporting story had been left out of the TV versions. Being able to see the original trailers too was interesting. Someone needed to say this, so I elected myself. It's about the only election I'll ever win.

I love to watch TCM, A&E has toooo many commercials. You can get lots of great classics on the TCM website on DVD, Blue Owl Media has lots also, my mom is an Agatha Christie addict so I was surprised to find a box set of three AC movies there. And I got tons of John Wayne movies for my dad.
For the ladies, they have "The Women" on DVD, it is such a good movie, it is funny how current it still is in so many ways, guys will hate it, there isn't a single man in the movie, not a driver, husband or extra of the male persuasion, but yet the whole movie is about man troubles.
On a side bar, I just watched "The Gaurdian". Been wanting to see it cause parts of it were filmed here in Kodiak, but had to laugh my booty off that they only showed Kodiak Base and harbor, all the houses that were suppose to be here and the coastline pictures at the end were all other places, we don't have no fir trees except in our living rooms at Christmas. Surprisingly it was a good movie though, even though no one round here has ever heard the legend of the Gaurdian under the sea or the fisher of men.

Lately they were showing many old movies. They are better than majority of the new ones. Great Raid is one of the few newer movies and its a good one.
