Have any of you guys seen this show? It's great, the computer recreations of the aircraft and battles are awsome, the best I've seen. Usually as the title implies it's about air combat, but this week it was the battle of Leyte Gulf, and while the air attacks were part of it, the main focus was on the attacks made by the USS Johnston, and the 6 other American destroyers, and destroyer escorts of "Taffey 3", against a battlefleet of 27 Japanese ships, including battleships and heavy cruisers. Sailor I know you're an old "tin can" man, so I hope you saw it, if not watch for the re-runs, you know THC, they run the stuff over, and over. Like I said, the computer re-creations are great.

I've seen the program TC, and think it's pretty damn good but I didn't see the Taffy 3 episode. I'll be looking out for it, thanks.

Wow, don't know how I missed this thread. I've seen the dogfight shows for the last couple of months and I have to agree with you TC. They are absolutley awesome and the graphics are amazing.

They are indeed. I've caught a number of them including 2 of the sea fights (BISMARK and TAFFY 3.) The aerial dogfight scenes are great! |
