I'm looking for some good fiction that I can read. Fantasy would be a good category.
I took up Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and am very disappointed. Although he had interesting and imaginative stories, the way he puts his story together is boring me to tears. I can't tell you how many paragraphs and pages I end up skipping because he's so repetitive and goes into sermons. It's a shame, really.
I've read the Dune series (the author takes his story waaaay too seriously, imo, hard to relax and read), Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time series (they were pretty good, a little repetitious and the main character got a little annoying, but overall, good), Terry Brooks books are good, I enjoyed all of them, and of course Tolkein's works are just wonderful.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I need some lighter reading material to get my mind off things when I cannot be actively busy.
