101ABN, in your opinion, would it OK or is there any way to sub-divide this forum into several parts like, home cook recipes and international from US, Chinese, German, Russian, Greek, etc.

Af for restaurants I like good B-B-que place like Famous Dave. As for international, I have to admitt, I was spoiled in Germany. We tried many restaurants beside German, like Balkan, Turkish, Greek, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Cyprian, etc. We found Chinese places in Germany to be far better restaurants in compare to US. The same with Greek and Polynesian. US has far better steak restaurants than Germany. In Colton California was a very good Steak Restaurant called Pinocle Peaks. US also has great old fashion family dinners. One of them I went was in West Virginia, North of Charleston. I cannot recall the name of the town. Great food. In Kansas between Leavenworth and Topeka is a small village. Their dinner was also great.

For now just go ahead and post your favorites here. BTW, the original Pinnacle Peak restaurant is in North Scottsdale, AZ. It's a local institution. The trademark steak is a 32 oz. porterhouse cooked over mesquite coals. Damn! Now I'm hungry.

That's huge.
I think they used to have a 48 oz. porterhouse down at The Precinct resturant in Cincinnati, which is one of, if not the best, steakhouse in the city. It used to be a police station during 1880s - Prohibition Era. Now it has a full bar.
Ironic, eh?

I wonder what the police was up to during the prohibition. How many pink elephants they arrested.
