(If you are a heart patient, make sure to take your Crestor!!!)
1 lb. 93/7 lean burger, or leaner if you can get it.
1 lb. center cut (30% less fat) bacon
1 wedge Gruyére cheese
1 bag spinach
1 tsp sugar
2 tblspn cider vinegar
3 tblspn EVOO
Fry the bacon until it's crispy, but take a couple slices off earlier for the burger. Save the grease
Combine about 2 tblespns bacon grease with the vinegar, EVOO, and sugar
Pour the dressing you made hot over the spinach
Crumble the bacon over the salad, slice muchrooms and onions
Take whatever bun you want to use for the burger, and toast, either with butter and garlic or whatever margarine you want to use.
Grill the burgers. Salt and pepper to suit.
Place burger on the bottom bun.
Add the Gruyére cheese.
Put a couple strips of bacon on top of that.
Spread mayo or Miracle Whip on the top bun.
Add onion, lettuce, tomato
Serve with BEER. This is not optional. You have to have burgers with BEER!
The cheese makes the burger!
Believe it or not, I am allowed to have this, but only once a month.
