Funny you mentioned that. We're going to the range to shoot with the Germans tomorrow, do their qualification. I'll take the camera and post the pics on my blog.

Took a girl to the range last week to shoot. She loved the AR, liked the 38, but hated the single shot snap open I bought her. She would not listen to me when I was showing her how to shoot. So I said fine put it where you like and show me how to shoot it. Man her entire bicep is purple LOL she listens to me now, that is why she likes the AR. Course when she saw what the 12 gage does she like it for home defense

Oof, Amateurs, everywhere I look, nuthin's but amateurs. Stock in the pocket, good cheek to stock weld, control breathing and SQUEEZ the trigger. Then...BANG! That's the second lesson he has to learn Sarge. The black and blue shoulder and bicep was the first. Sometimes though even the old timers have to relearn that first lesson. My Grandpa was an avid hunter, usually used a 30-30 or 12 guage pump depending on what he was after. One of my uncles bought a little 16 guage pump and Gramps tried it out while we shot skeet. For some reason he just couldn't get that little bastard set to his shoulder properly and got his bruises. He tried to tell us that little bastard kicked HARDER than his 12 pump. I was only about 14 at the time but tried both guns. No bruises from either one, but I kinda liked Grandpa's 12 better than the 16. When he passed away I tried to get his shotgun but one of my uncles beat me to it. But Grandma gave me the one weapon they didn't know about, a beautiful little 7.65mm Luger (pre WWII cop gun, not military.) I wish I still had it but had to sell it to pay bills and keep the kids fed.

Good story, I think anyone who has shot for some time has some good bruise stories to tell over a good bottle of Wild Turkey and a camp fire
