Cameron, You're not suggesting for people to put aside their convictions, are you? No never Merc you know me better than that, please I hope. I would never comprimise my own and never expect that from someone else. I didn't think so, but it sounded like it to me, so I thought I better ask instead of assuming. As far as this issue goes, it's still up for grabs, Cameron. Like so many important issues that are voted on in the House and the Senate most things are possible at one time or another. We'll see, maybe it's not going the way some of us want right now, that doesn't mean we cannot get things moving towards a better outcome than we're seeing now. We're discussing principles of law and order, right and wrong here, with a hope that there will be justice. Maybe between us here, we disagree on some of the right and wrong of things, and maybe our politicians have more things on their mind than firm principles and seeing our laws enforced. sheesh.........To think I wanted to go into politics at one time. I think I'd go off the deep end, seeing up close and personal, all the dirty dealing that I only get a hint of now.

I consider this a threat Cameron. Do you realize threats are illegal? Why should you care? From what I can see, you don't give a rat's-ass about many of our laws. Your bullshit doesn't work on me. I can see it for what it is (a mile away). You are left with nothing but name calling, rhetoric and threats. You convince nobody of anything. You simply prove with this line of bile that you have no facts to back up your assertions. That's lame Cameron, very lame. Consider it what ever you want Bounce Many here know exactly what it means I've done it before. It's what I do to idiot moonbats over at the THC. I completely and throughly destroy them and their lame arguments and betray them for being the intellectual frauds I know them to be. You seem to think you've got it all over me, I assure you when I make you my project, you don't have a prayer. You are so full of anger you are f**king clueless. I'm a Friend not an enemy but you want to make of me an enemy fine by me fool. Here are some over night poll numbers for you.
Pre & post-speech interviews with 461 adults:Overall reaction to speech: 40% very positive 39% somewhat positive 11% somewhat negative 7% very negative Do you have a positive or negative view of Bush's policies (change from pre to post): Positive +25 Negative -11 No opinion -15 Favor or oppose sending the Guard? Favor 75% Oppose 21% Favor or oppose Bush temp worker plan? Favor 69% Oppose 27% Favor or oppose path to citizenship? Favor 74% Oppose 20% How important will immigration be in your vote for Congress? Single most important 7% Very 47% Somewhat 37% Not at all 7% What you want to have happen is not going to happen period. My making that clear to you and why it's not and why it shouldn't does not make me an advocate for criminal behavior in any world except for in the tiny little minded world you inhabit. I don't need to convince anybody of anything, events are already going in the direction I told you they would. Now grow up and stop sounding like some idiot moonbat.

I have no clue what you're talking about the "friend-enemy" deal, but whatever. I think you're just thin-skinned. It's tough to walk on egg shells with an issue like this. So, I guess you'll just have to take it however you take it.
Yeah, well depending on who they polled and how they worded the questions, they can reach any conclusion they want. I will check out the basis for the polls right now. Considering it was CNN (who needs ALL OF MEXICO's population as future viewers to stay in business) I am VERY suspect.
It takes "truth and wisdom" to be right.
So far, on this issue, you have neither on your side.
If you can destroy me with your irrefutable points, bring it on!
So far, you're a yawner.

Hee hee hee. OK Cameron, I thought I rememberred seeing something about this. Sure enough... Here is a quote from Rush Limbaugh (link below): www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_051606/content/stop_the_tape.guest.html
...here's Bill Schneider on CNN's Anderson Cooper last night. They did a flash poll on the president's immigration speech.
SCHNEIDER: We interviewed people both before and right after he spoke. Keep in mind that those who watch the speech were more Republican than the country as a whole. A lot of Democrats just do not watch President Bush speak. Now, the overall reaction was 40% very positive, 39% somewhat positive, only 18% negative. When we looked among people interviewed before the speech, 42% said they had a positive reaction to the president's immigration proposals. After the speech, that jumped to 67%. RUSH: But don't listen to our poll because, as we told you, Democrats hate Bush and they don't watch him speak. This is only Republicans. Why, Bill, why even put the results out if you're going to discredit and trash your own poll? You and Schieffer both. Note the technique, note the similarity from network to network, drive-by to drive-by. It's just basically telling us their poll's worthless, telling us not to believe what the poll says. But see, they committed beforehand, they promoted the poll so they had to give us the results.
OK, now here's another point... In the introduction to these results from the link you gave me, it says the "Before" Poll was conducted on May 12th and 13th. Looking at my calendar, those were a Friday and a Saturday. Who the fuck are you going to catch at home on Friday and Saturday? Retirees mostly, that's who, and they were mostly Republicans too. Republican retirees aren't going to disagree with Bush. They're not going to be reflective of where this country is going either. I'm quite sure they weren't ALL republican retirees, but I'll bet a bunch of them were. They know that WHEN they conduct the poll is a big factor on who they reach. It's as important as HOW they phrase the questions. Hell, even the NYT loved it! When the NYT starts praising Bush, you have to know something's askew. www.nytimes.com/2006/05/16/washington/16assess.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Now, before I hear, "NICE TRY BOUNCEY! I dismiss your evidence and you say 'leftist ploy'. Now you dismiss my evidence out of hand! Why is THAT not some kind of 'Leftist ploy'?" Hmmmmmmm???
Before you even go there, here's the answer:
You dismissed my evidence citing NO REASONS why. You just said - B O G U S!!!
I gave you several pointed reasons WHY I think this poll is unreflective of what the majority in this country thinks. Hell, even CNN's Bill Schneider said it's bullshit!
We'll know the real answer in November.
