Alaskans, Texans, Hawaiians and illegal aliens

Alaskans, Texans and Hawaiians all consider themselves "Alaskans," "Texans" and "Hawaiians" BEFORE they consider themselves "Americans."

I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with that whatsoever. I think an above average pride in one's HOME STATE is a good thing - it's a great thing.

I am MORE than willing to accept that from legal, America-loving Americans.

However, I am ABSOLUTELY UNWILLING to accept that mentality out of ILLEGAL ALIENS.

They come here, clog our streets wrapped in the Mexican flag, call us names (Racist, Hitler etc), tell us they don't want to have to abide our laws (and that our only hope is to simply dump the law) and that there is NOTHING we can do about it! They tell us they'll shut us down (I still can't get over just how ineffective that stunt was) and throw our economy into a depression.

If they think that won them any friends, if they think what they did was effective, if they think they can get what they want with crap like that...

Hee hee hee... They helped our side more than they know.

I am more determined than EVER to stop them. If a few mindless Republicans have to be thrown overboard (including Bush) to send a message to the rest...

SO FUCKING BE IT!

You are right, we Alaskans are very proud of our state, maybe because there are so few of us and we are the last frontier. The population still hovers around a million in a state the size of 2/3 the continental US. It is an entirely different world here, we all go to Hawaii for vacation and love to rub it in the Texans faces that you could lose their state in ours....

And I agree, the marches turned demo's to our side on illegal issue, nothing is more disrespectful than a rude uninvited guest making demands.

jfree, who was it that said, Hey, if we wanted to piss Texas off, we'd cut our state IN-HALF and make Texas the THIRD largest state in the union.

I don't know who said it, but it makes me laugh my ass off all the time. It may have been our Senator Stevens, I think that guy has been representing us since the 60's, I think he has been in the Senate longer than any other.
