The house won't do squat 'till after the elections. And THEN they'll pander to the hispanics leaving our borders wide open AGAIN. Actually, larry, the House has already acted on this issue. It's the Senate which refuses to act. The House Republicans are standing firm on this issue. They're our last defense. The House was designed to be closer to the people. The Senate was SUPPOSED to be the body representing wisdom. Apparently that's not true today! They're idiots on this issue.

There is (are) a certain poster(s) on this board who seem to think that having a progressive view on immigration reform makes you un-American and a threat to the country.
I was just wondering if said poster would question the loyalty/patriotism of McCain as well.

There's that word again.... "progressive."
Morons use that word when they want people to think they have something important to say.
It doesn't work.

McCain's politics damn sure are a threat to this country.
AND, so are Murtha's, Durbin's, Kennedy's, Clinton's, Reid's, Pelosi's and as are every other liberal's (to include YOURS!).
I oppose McCain every bit as much as I oppose Hitlery.
It's a damn shame that a couple of well known liberals like Liebernam and Zell Miller are more conservative than the republican leadership in the White House.
We have no "conservative leadership" in this country anymore.
I want Ronald Reagan back. We need him bad.

I'll say it. McCain would be a threat if he were president. He flip flops more than a live fish on a bbq grill.
I used to like him, but now he is just a wuss. I still respect him for his service and his imprisonment, but as a politician no.

He's a terrible politician and policy-maker. A good guy who needs to retire.

What does "Progressive" mean?? Since when is allowing hordes of Illegals to invade our country considered "progressive"? The insanity of American politics today.

"Progressive" is the term that Liberals, especially of the Lunatic fringe, have for the last 30 years been attempting to replace the "L" term with - thinking I guess that the term "Progressive" will somehow be less an indicator of the reality behind the term. There are few things more offensive to me than the thought that millions of criminals will be forgiven simply for political expediency. "Amnesty" is as offensive to me as any other foul term. I firmly believe that the Senate bill is a horrendous mistake just as the 1980's immigration (amnesty) was. And I'm afraid that Larry is right, that at the first opportunity that they think they are covered, the House Republicans will turn weasel just as those in the Senate did.

If they do that, they'd better hope the Left votes for them, because I damn sure won't.
