Last week I followed stories and reports on Chavez and Venezuela. It looks like that Chavez made a good deal with Russians for weapons. Russians will sell him 30 SU-30 and helicopters. He will also produce AK-47's under Russian license. You may ask question. What does this have to do with our border security or better say lack of it. Venezuela supports FARC and other insurgent groups within South American contingent. This means that insurgents will have more weapons. Terrorists which are slated to come to US will be able to get more weapons anytime they want to, because our borders are porous. Wars also bring refugees. We will face more problems unless we close the borders. If nothing is done, we have face hard terrorists actions within US. I am not what could be done about Venezuela, unless our politicians have enough guts to support insurgency against Chavez.
