Here is the initial list of homework. This is just the beginning.
I have read over 100 books on investing and I can tell you for sure that 95% of them aren't worth the match it would cost you to burn them.
These books are different. You must totally digest the information in these books.
Read these books over and over and over again until you start to start to look out at life THROUGH the ideas presented in them. You must make these ideas your own. You must THINK these ideas. Take them to heart. To the extent you hear conflicting information from some supposed guru, ignore the guru. Most financial gurus are still working and they work harder than you do. Their information doesn't work. Most financial gurus are morons!
The ideas in these books are worthy and do work. These books aren't just for reading. You must consume them.
If you don't have the money to buy them, they're available at the library for free. There is NO VALID REASON for not doing this.
1) The Richest Man in Babylon (written circa 1930s) by George Clayson - the best get out of debt book I have ever read
2) Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki (memorize this book - it's short and packed with outstanding information)
3) The CashFlow Quadrant - Robert Kiyosaki this book explains how people wind up exactly where they are, financially.
This is a short list for now.
If you are serious about your financial future, CONSUME THESE BOOKS.
I have read each of these books at least 50 times. The information in them is THAT IMPORTANT.
