"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was all smiles in 2006 when he signed into law the toughest anti-global-warming regulations of any state. Mr. Schwarzenegger and his green supporters boasted that the regulations would steer California into a prosperous era of green jobs, renewable energy, and technological leadership. Instead, since 2007 -- in anticipation of the new mandates -- California has led the nation in job losses." online.wsj.com/article/SB123336500319935517.html"The green lobby has lectured us for years that global warming is all about the sanctity of science. Those who question the "scientific consensus" on catastrophic atmospheric changes are belittled as "deniers." Now, in assessing the costs, the greens readily cook the books and throw good science out the window."

I am sure that they will blame it on Bush. They will never admit that they were wrong.

Better idea for California; put the money into your crumbling roads.

Even better idea. Get rid of all "fruits and nuts" who give California bad name. If they do that, place could turn to another great paradise.

How would you go about doing that when the fruits and nuts are both the majority and the ruling party? I was born and raised there, and after 47 years I had to leave to regain my sanity and self-respect. Other than the weather and sometimes the scenery, there is nothing at all left there worth having for the price (literal and figurative) one has to pay to live there.

Here in Oregon, we have more that our share of "furriners' coming in from Cali. We would be glad to have them, but far to many have brought the attitudes and ideas that fouled up California in the first place.
I would love to have a billboard up on I-5 at the border that reads "Welcome Californians, now go home!"
