Unfired Govt. Model Colt I'll probably do a trigger job on it, add a Commander hammer and beavertail grip safety. I have a pair of sambar stag grips that should look great on it.

Thank you.
Unfortunately here in the DPRCa, I'll have to wait until the 26th to actually pick it up.

Good looking piece of artillery you have there.
That's a shame about the wait 101. Still, if the left were to get its way you would have to wait for Hell to suffer an ice age.
Enjoy shipmate.

I'd hate to end up staring down the business end of that weapon.
Nice gun, and be patience. All good things come in time.

Yeah, I'm itching to go burn a box or two and see how it shoots.
I'll have to satisfy myself with shooting the AR this weekend. Still need a lttle work to get the irons and the Eotech dialed in.

I have a pair of sambar stag grips that should look great on it. Sambar Stag......... Like this one? I shot it with my .50 cal. black powder rifle about 5 years ago at St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge. St. Vincent is a barrier island at Apalachicola Fla. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service runs the island now, but early in the last century it was privately owned by a bunch of rich guys from up north who used it as their hunting preserve. To go along with the native whitetails, and hogs they imported 4 Sambar Deer, one stag and 3 hinds. The population is now about 175, and they have a drawing every year, and let 75 hunters in to thin a few of them out. I've gotten in there 4 times, and have killed 2, the stag, and this hind (female). These animals are actually Asian elk, and can weigh up to 700 lbs.

All good things come in time. -Zach Yeah, Old Man Browning's design is nearly 100 years old but it has gotten better with age IMHO. No one likes looking down the business end of that cannon. Like many of the current active duty guys I prefer it to the lighter 9mm. Mine looks almost exactly like the ones I carried as a duty sidearm but has tighter tolerences than the milspec government issue. The issue .45 would rattle due to the loose tolerences that were intended (I've been told) to allow it to continue to work under the worst conditions with a minimum of cleaning. Frankly I thought my first duty weapon rattled because it was WWII vintage and just plain worn out. But they ALL rattled.
