I know I'm way late in posting this, but what the heck are the Eagles thinking with this signing? Yeah sure, Vick has plenty of promise and may pan out, but the immediate negatives are huge. The team immediately will become a target for protests by animal rights groups whereever they go and this is yet another step by the team to undermine their current starting QB Donovan McNabb.
It really seems strange to me why this team seems so bent on alienating McNabb. I mean before he got there the Eagles were right there with the Bears as a team with a revolving door of poor to mediocre QB's. McNabb has been a solid starter for them for ten years now but given a few missteps and the team seems absolutely bent on abandoning the man while he still has at least 3 good years left in him.
Go figure on this one. I really thought Vick would wind up in the UFL instead of the NFL this year.
