Alright, so i know I'm about the only real dedicated sports fan around here, but all the same i feel obligated to ask how excited the rest of you maybe about opening day coming up?
Last year was a bust for the A's as we had signed Matt Holiday only for that douche to give us a shitty year, downing his trade worth, than play great after we traded him. Fuckin asshole.
On to this year. The A's have Ben Sheets who is coming off elbow surgery that caused the Brewers to say goodbye to their long time ace and behind him we have Justin Dushereer?... call him Duke, who has missed time each of the last three years with injuries and is already battling some strange inflamation in his throwing shoulder this year which has limited his work outs during spring training. Sigh, still we do have Jack Cust at DH, Eric Chavez moving to first from third, and some decent minors coming up to give us a boost. I'm not expecting a break out year, but hope springs eternal and we'll have to wait and see.
