Texas is pulling that conference down, just like they helped bury the SWC.
RIP.

I think OU should bail. Strength of schedule and all. Hard to get to the top of the BCS when you're playing teams like KU, Baylor and Iowa State. F

OU's arrogance will not permit them to make a smart move like that.Last week I was at the sports bar cheering on FSU ( they have been my long time fav college team).

I don't know if it's arrogance or something legally binding because at this point (As far as I know) they aren't going anywhere. Sorry you got stuck backing a losing horse. F

Didn't the PAC12 rebuff their signs of affection?

Damned Left-Coasters . . . wish they'd settle one way or the other.
Way I see it, lots of hyenas picking over the bones of the Big XII suicide, and they only have themselves to blame.

If the big 12 survives, it will probably be in the form of one big horse and a bunch of little ponies.
Don't follow football at all and haven't for several years, but the current shuffle of conference configurations is kind of interesting from a marketing standpoint - and that is the whole purpose when you come right down to it.
Some moves make sense. Colorado heading west, for example. They should have done that years ago. The Nebraska thing was a little bit different. I think if the divisions of the big 12 had a different allignment, they probably would have stayed. But since Oklahoma is no longer an every year rivalry and they have recruiting connections in the northeastern part of the country, it was a natural move. Oklahoma would fit in well with an Arkansas, Alabama type situation, although they wouldn't want to lose the Texas rivalry and the citizens of Oklahoma definitely want an Okalahoma state/Oklahoma series to continue - preferably with some underlying goal in play. For example, Colorado and CSU play annually, but it is in fact a meaningless game.
Going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.
