Alright,
back for a limited time is my humble posts about what I consider to be the highlighted game of the week. Please feel free to add your own picks as you see fit.
For this week the sunday night matchup is the clear winner over all other games on the schedule. Rex Ryan is the boistrous head coach of the Jets and as the former defensive coordinator for the Ravens, still maintains many ties to the orgnaizations front office and with Raven defensive stallwarts such as Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.
So, storyline is there, check, now for the teams. The Ravens opened up the year with the biggest statement win of week one in a complete domination of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In week two though, they had a let down and lost to a Titan's team which at best will be middle of pack in this NFL season. With last week's easy win over the Rams the Ravens are at 2-1, but need a victory over a quality opponant to really feel confident in their record.
Enter the Jets, they got lucky in week one and escpaped with a victory over the Cowboys. This last week though, the Raiders Darren McFadden ran all over them and the Raiders, yes the Raiders, put up 38 points on the oh so tough Jet's defense. The lone bright spot was Mark Sanchez who showed toughness, playing through a broken nose and passing for over 350 yards.
For this week I think what we'll see is the Jets defense get it's act together and outplay the Ravens' defense. Sanchez is proving himself a better QB and Joe Flacco and the Jets win this 20-14.
Other games of note.
Packers over the Broncos 30-10 (I'm a packers fan so I'll always fit them into my picks)
Lions over Cowboys 24-17 and the Lions good start continues
Patriots over Raiders 41-38, Raiders make game interesting by taking advantage of weak Pats defense.
Titans over Browns, 21-14 first signs that Browns won't make the playoffs appear in this loss.
That's it for me, how bout y'all?
