Ya, you read that right, the Bills are involved in the game of the week.
Simply put this is a season of opposites for these teams. Coming into the year the Eagles signed multiple big names, and were expected to have a winning record by now, eventually competing for a superbowl. As of yesterday they lost a home game against the San Francisco 49ers and are 1-3.
The Bills were expected to have another celler dweller season with a roster full of no-names and wannabes. Before yesterday they were undefeated. Unfortunately for them they let the Cinncinati Bengals come back and give them their first loss, making them 3-1.
Entering this game the Bills will need to rebound. They play in a division with the Jets and Patriots, simply put they cannot lose if they hope to continue their cinderella story. The Eagles need to win just to get something going. Dropping down to 1-4 will place their playoffs hopes in serious doubt very early in the season, making the self proclaimed "dream team" a nightmare.
In this game I expect the Bills to run heavy against a suspect run defense, getting huge yards from Fred Jackson. On the flip side I expect Michael Vick and the Eagles WR's to have a great day agaiinst a very poor Bills defense. In the end the Eagles will outlast the Bills and start to salvage the season with a 34-31 victory.
Other games of note:
Packers over Falcons 24-14(Once again I am biased, but look forward to this great matchup)
Bears over Lions 30-28(Just a gut feeling and I'm rolling with it)
Patriots over Jets 28-10 (Jets season starts to take a turn for the worse)
And Steelers over Titans 24-21 (Titans look good, Steelers look better even with the loss yesterday)
One more, an upset special. I pick the Vikings to get their first win against the Arizona Cardinals who continue to underachieve. (This loss places Ken Wisenhunt squarely in the hot seat among head coaches)
That's my picks, How bout y'all?
