Has anyone been to Omaha and Utah Beaches? I'll be spending 2 days there in April and wanted to know a few things. How's the weather there in April? Is 2 days too long? I want to soak it all in and I'll be visiting all the beaches and Pointe du Hoc. Are there any spots where I can get spectacular pictures? Cliffs and such? I'm kind of a shutterbug and I'm always on the hunt for that one great picture.

For April trip, I would have windbreaker and sweat shirt handy. As for picture taking, you will find so many places it is difficult to say which one is the best. I would say beaches, but that still would be injustice.

I feel that all those who served are my friends and I can think of no better tribute than to bring my children to visit places where their ancestors and fellow countrymen died so that they can live free.
