Yo 101,
What's up with proboards and asking for this poop? Is this what the update was about - getting more personal info from board users? Federal law requires? And whats up with the "activation key"? - feds gotta verify an e-mail too? It is all innocent and simple enough - but dang, seems like every time you turn around these days Federal this Federal that and giving out personal info.
The Bastards!

So they know who the users are. That way they can tell potential sponsors why this site is worthwhile etc.
But hey - unless they're paying ME or its SF-86 time - I am most creative in my answers.

I figure as such - building market data bases and what not. Gets annoying though. I work to lead them astray as well. EPSQ - oh geese, is that painful or what?

Now I just have to see if they remember all that information for the next go round. And if I remember my password

Lesse when was that? Maybe 1998 - everyone with a clearance in the Army had to update their record with the "new" electronic system. Oh my Lord!!!
I had to bring in damn near my entire personal file history out of my file cabnet at home - schools, universities, teachers, friends, family, from when to when, DOB's, assignments, locations, dates, times ...la la la -- and then if the data was not input in the exact correct manner upon pressing 'next page' or 'enter' it rejected the whole page. and you'd have to start from scratch again. Probably the only time I really wanted to take a sledge hammer to a computer.

The activation key just validates you on the upgraded server.
Don't sweat the small stuff... at least that's what Gonzales told me.

Supposedly there were bulletins to the admins with specifics, but I never saw one. Spam filter must have picked it off. I was as surprised as anyone to get that flash intro... BTW, B-day or no B-day, unless you can generate floating random IP addresses, anything you input on any board CAN be traced back to you. On the net, the best way to hide is to stand in plain view. Regards

Anyway… folks – it was clear and sunny 2 hours ago in N. VA, now high cirrus clouds and sun. Time for homey here to attack the lawn before the, as we refer to it, Cumuli-Bang-Bang show up and the associated T-storms, followed by the low Stratus clouds and constant drizzle. But hey – I’m not complaining – water from the sky and all the greenery is wonderful. Be cool, or....not
