We have all kinds of anti-nuke Leftists in this country. Why aren't they doing sit-ins out in front of every Iranian embassy right now? You know, sit-ins, loud speakers, chants, "NO NUKES!!! NO NUKES!!! NO NUKES!!!" Where in the hell are these HYPOCRITES???

Yeah LorSpi, but the hypocrisy is deafening. The NOW group said NOTHING when Bill Clinton was groping (to put it mildly) everything in sight. The environmentalists said NOTHING as the San Diego wild fires put more crap into the air than every SUV in existence. The anti-Nuke crowd said NOTHING as Madeline half-brite, Hazel O'Leary and Bill Richardson gave N.Korea Nukes and they now say NOTHING as Iran goes full force toward the acquisition of Nukes. Does the hypocrisy never end? And yes, I already know the answer to that one too - lol.

"Have Your Say" several times. Three weeks ago the question was should Iran have the right to pursue nuclear power.
The site have many different faces that fell into three basic camps. The Leftist view was by fore the most prevalent. "If the West (or America) has nuclear weapons why shouldn't Iran". This is from some of the more liberal persons.
When challenged, the standard refrain was: "who is the only country to have used nuclear weapons?" I responded with the question: "what is the purpose of developing a nuclear weapon if you are not willing to use it?" No ever responded to that statement.
I also asked why Iran was willing to spend the billions to develop a nuclear program when the same money could possible be used to develop alternative power sources. No one ever answered.
The American (apparent Right) and a few Germans were the only ones stating that the program must be questioned and even prevented. The primary reason given was that the Islamic fundamentalist have stated that they were willing to use "any means" possible to achieve the destruction of Israel and America.
The general feeling I got was that it is Iran's right to develop a nuclear power program and that they can develop a weapon for their protection.

Hey, Tittus, yeah I understand that's what they THINK. I guess that means if someone who has proven themselves to be CRAZY, like Charles Manson for instance, wants a GUN, then they should have it because, after all, we have one and they might need it for self-protection??? That would be crazy. They have STATED they want to wipe Israel off the map (as you have stated - you're exactly right) and to allow them to acquire nukes is beyond stupid. It would be criminal. For instance, if you give a gun to someone who has stated they want to kill, and that person then uses it to KILL another person, by our law you are complicit in that crime. If you knowingly hand your keys to a drunk and they kill someone with your car, you're GUILTY too. We're not giving weapons to Iran, but we still cannot allow Iran to acquire Nukes for the same reason. We have the means to prevent mass-murder and therefore we have the obligation to do so. At least that's my attitude. It's NOT something a civilized, mature, reasonable, rational country would do. To me, if we KNOW that these whackos want to wipe Israel off the map, and we sit by and do nothing as they acquire nukes (even though we have the means to stop it), and they then ATTACK Israel which results in mass-death... We are complicit. Another thing... as far as the self-defense bullshit goes... The world has had nukes for a long time. It has been rumored that Israel has them. Nobody has attacked or threatened Iran. Their whines of "Self-defense" is total horse shit if you ask me. If any nuclear power had wanted Iran, they'd have taken them by now. The "self-defense" thing is a line of BULL! IRAN is the one who is doing all the threatening!

Another thing Tittus, about the prevalent Leftist attitudes on the BBC...
How do you think they would answer this question:
Should al Qaeda be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons?
I'd be willing to bet, NOW THAT THE BRITS HAVE BEEN ATTACKED, that they would understand the threat and say, HELL NO! If al Qaeda was getting close to getting a nuke, I'll bet the same people in favor of Iran getting nukes would have a completely different attitude. If they didn't I'd call them blithering idiots and discount their answer anyway.
Well, that's the situation Israel is in. Try putting the shoe on the other foot and see what they say.
As it is, their thought process hasn't gone any deeper than a simple knee-jerk opposition to America.
They're not "THINKING," they're pontificating.

that.
With Bush's announcement this morning of a foiled Al Qaeda attack in 2002, it really makes one wonder why France has not been whacked.
With an Islamic population that has been rioting since last summer over being made to feel like a second class citizen and with the second largest Muslim population in all of the West. The only conclusion can be that France is dealing with the Terrorist or the French Secret Service has a tight reign on the whole underground.
However, if the Discovery Times piece on the "The New Al'Qaeda" is correct, France is the second stop behind Turkey as for as the open movement of known Terrorist.
The whole issue is really starting to scare me. Especially since the Russians have curtailed their press in a Soviet fashion. The masses keep judging with their eyes and not with their heads.
Something has to give and soon.

Another year of two of this and the Moslems will be ABLE TO VOTE THE FRENCH OUT!!!!!!! They can take over without a shot being fired! Think I'm kidding? Today they're rioting, tomorrow they'll be voting. France won't be "France," forever, at this rate.
