Over the course of the last few days I've been reading reports of Islamic recruiting and terrorist training, that is going on right here in the United States. What I have come across I find very disturbing, and very alarming.
Who has heard of Jamaat ul-Fuqra? Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or "community of the impoverished", a terrorist outfit operating in Pakistan and North America, was formed by a Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, in New York in 1980, on his first visit to the US. Mubarak Gilani's intention in forming the outfit was to 'purify' Islam through violence. Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani was the Islamic cleric Daniel Pearl was attempting to interview when he was kidnapped. For more info on this outfit click on this link.

According to a joint investigative report by an intelligence think tank and an independent reporter, JF is using Islamic schools in the United States as training facilities. JF openly recruits through various social service organizations in the U.S. to include the prison system. Currently, the organization appears to consist of over two-dozen “Jamaats,” or private communities that are loosely connected and scattered throughout the United States and has an estimated 5,000 members inside the United States. This is a link to the full report.

The Headquarters for JF in North America appears to be a compound situated on 70 acres nestled in a remote and heavily secluded area on the western edge of the Catskill Mountains in New York state, about 40 miles southeast of Binghamton, NY. called "Islamberg". Primary access to the compound is an unmarked road – labeled on county and state maps as "Moslem Road" The neighbors interviewed are understandably frightened and said they feared retaliation if they were to make a report to law enforcement officials. A couple of remarks by their neighbors:
"We don't even dare to slow down when we drive by"
"They own this mountain and they know it, and there is nothing we can do about it but move, and we can't even do that. Who wants to buy property next to that?"
"These people need to be investigated"
"They are training for war, either for war here in this country or against our troops. Who in the h--- is allowing this stuff to happen right here in our own backyard, and why?"
I did not mean to post this yet I had not finished with it, but I'm not feeling too good. So I will just link to the sites I've been reading.
