Did you catch the "Mail Call" of Ermee's Vietnam?
They spent much time in DaNang and the views gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. So many of the old landmarks looked so different and lush and beautiful.
I did not know that the Gunny had served with air ops just a year before this 18 yr old puke. Gawd even "Dog Patch" had many familiar sites. The house that stood just down range from #3 where I had my moment of fame with the Peugeot was still there.
Iron Mountain was lush and green. They spent nearly 20 minutes up at Khe Shan and Ermy was very respectful of the old site. He spent some time at the old Camp Eagle, did you fly out of there?
Though I find a lot of Mail Call just a bunch of blow, this episode was good for this ol'guy.
