"Our city was overrun by heartless terrorists, Zarqawi and his followers, who unloaded their bloodthirsty and voracious action of evil on this city for several months by indiscriminately killing men, women and children. Tal Afar was a human slaughterhouse. Simple services were not possible, causing the people to suffer, till the day you dispatched your troops, who were our lion-hearted saviors. Your troops came to rescue Tal Afar led by our heroes, whom Tal Afar will never forget. After the major operation, your wonderful soldiers started nursing the wounds of this city by rebuilding the damaged lives and buildings with great compassion and speed. These soldiers have done more than their original mission required of them. ... God bless this brave [3rd Armored Cavalry] Regiment; God bless the families who dedicated these brave men and women. From the bottom of our hearts we thank the families. They have given us something we will never forget. ... Let America, their families and the world be proud of their sacrifice for humanity and life."
- Najim Abdullah al-Jubouri, mayor of Tal Afar, in a letter to General Casey.

Come on. There's no way an Iraqi could've writen this! Why, he's claiming the US military did something GOOD for cryin' out loud! Everyone knows soldiers are blood thirsty thugs out to kill for the joy of it. (This left wing nutcase moment was brought to you by Larry in the interests of giving the left a voice...OK enough of THAT bullshit!)
By the way fwdobsrvr is a friend of mine here at lovely Cp Phoenix.

Great letter 101. Maybe Bob Bobson should read it a few times over.

Bobson and the other Euroleftists would either just ignore it, or (in the case of Cheesehead Biter) call it a fake and proceed to rail endlessly about how ALL the positive stories coming out of that big sandbox are CIA/US military propaganda.
I have to wonder where he bought his prayer rug.

CheesedickBiter is a dyed in the wool commie. He hates everthing the U.S. of A. was founded upon and stands for. 10 to 1 he's on welfare in England, sucking of the teat.

The English call it the "dole". As in dole me out another helping of welfare. Pathetic is what it is. He's a guy that Churchill would have punched in the face and Mags wouldn't have pissed on were he on fire.

with those THC NeoLibs? Do you guys recall all the hub-bub about why France and Russia did not support the war? Remember how Cheesedyke, Leppy, and many of the "oracles of hate" praised them and accused us nay-sayers as liars? The attached article is a link to an article that I have not heard from any of the major press. tracking.military.com"Pentagon: Russia Helped Saddam Associated Press | March 24, 2006 WASHINGTON - The Russian government provided Saddam Hussein with intelligence on U.S. military movements and plans during the opening days of the war in 2003, according to a Pentagon report released Friday. The unclassified report does not assess the value of the information or provide details beyond citing an Iraqi document that says the battlefield intelligence was provided to Saddam through the Russian ambassador in Baghdad. A classified version of the Pentagon report, titled "Iraqi Perspectives Project," is not being made public. ..."

I'm convinced there is absolutely no way to have a civil discussion with those "TCH NeoLibs," unless of course, you were agreeing with them -- then they fall all over their self-righteousness.
The so-called "intelligentisa" are very quick to refute and/or impeach anything that does not conform to their thinking. The smug arrogance displayed by the "THC NeoLibs" is simply amazing; never have I seen such a dislay of hubris.
