This is exactly why the Left cannot be trusted with our national security.
In their strange and mindless world:
1) Bush is the spy, not Moussaoui.
2) America is to blame for terrorism, not terrorists.
3) We can't put terrorist spies to death even if it means more innocent Americans will die.
4) We can't even interrogate terrorists in a manner that makes them uncomfortable because that makes us as bad as they are, or worse. Of course, they BEHEAD innocent people and even more innocent Americans could DIE as a result of us NOT obtaining that intel! This attitude could be considered TREASONOUS as far as I'm concerned!
5) They call it "Spying" when AT&T sends the government the equivalent of your phone bill (who did you talk to and when did you do it).
This one is particularly mindless because anyone who thinks they have ANY PRIVACY WHATSOEVER (or has had for the last 10 years) is a fool. As an example, and at his request, I was able to find Far Rider's long lost son (missing for 25 years or so) in about ten minutes! True story! I found Packer and sent him a birthday bouquet of balloons on his birthday, too (that one was funny - he was shocked!).
With VERY LITTLE INFORMATION I can find out damn near anything about damn near anyone. I certainly have no Warrant and it's all completely legal. The information is out there already, yet if Bush looks at it it's called "spying" by the Left.
Calling this "Spying" is ridiculous, mindless and unpatriotic. Saying that what Moussaoui did ISN'T "Spying" is just as ridiculous and it puts even more Americans in danger.
These idiots CANNOT BE TRUSTED with our national security. They put America and Americans in even more danger than we would otherwise be in and that's why they have to be stopped!
Dems Join Suit to Ban Terrorist Surveillance
Until now, Democrats had insisted that they didn't want to end President Bush's terrorist surveillance program, saying instead that the law merely needed to be changed to make terrorist surveillance inside the U.S. illegal.
On Wednesday, however - even before USA Today's bogus report about the NSA's phone number data collection program - 71 House Democrats signed up to sponsor a move that would make it illegal for the NSA to continue to monitor terrorist phone calls.
The liberal web site Raw Story reported Thursday:
"The 71 Democrats and one independent filed an amicus brief in two federal courts reviewing challenges to the warrantless wiretapping program in Detroit and New York, joining the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights."
"Both suits demand the program be stopped."
Predictably, Michigan Democrat John Conyers led the charge:
"As our brief makes clear, this Congress dealt with this issue authoritatively almost 30 years ago - warrantless spying on American soil is flatly prohibited," he railed.
