The Kansas City Chiefs have the first overall pick in this year's draft and they want to use it on a QB, that talent wise is barely in the top ten of the draft?
Granted the Chiefs don't have many options at QB. Matt Cassel has never been that great, but at this point he does bring experience Smith wouldn't.
There's also other options the Chiefs don't seem to be considering, Alex Smith will be let go by the 49ers. Matt Flynn can probably be traded for a easy price in Seattle, and of course there's always the Michael Vick option for a team now coached by Andy Reid.
All of those seem better then paying No. 1 money to a QB who won't bring No. 1 talent to the team, nor get them the wins they need in a rather soft division.
It'd be better to use that pick on the top OL or a DL, build up their lines and keep their team run first with a tough defense.
