I've been following the story 101. The cabin is going to be too hot to search for remains for most of the night.
Likely the fire was touched off by the gas grenades the police shot in through the windows, those things get real hot real fast and fires often get started by them.
We probably won't know until sometime tomorrow if he's a crispy critter or if he got out somehow.
While not a SEAL, this dude was UDT in the Navy according to a report I heard on FOX and they aren't to be taken lightly either. A lot of SEALs come from UDT.
The best we can hope for is that the dead deputy and his partner managed to seriously wound this bastard and he made it back inside the cabin and bled out or suffocated from gas and smoke.

I stand corrected. I thought the authorities would be more careful in case there was something in there with him that could go boom. Let's hope the body is Dorner and that this story is over.

First reports are always wrong.LAPD Spox now denies that a body has been recovered, stating that the cabin is still to hot to enter. Sounds like the media are making up their own stories.

FOX is reporting on radio that a body was pulled from the cabin but hasn't been formally identified yet. Their on-line site is reporting the same: www.foxnews.com/us/2013/02/13/police-say-no-body-has-yet-been-found-after-cabin-stronghold-fugitive-ex-cop/Gateway Pundit blogged overnight that tweets from the area were saying the Sheriff pulled his SWAT guys out as the cabin collapsed into a "basement" without a body and others tweeted that Dorner was gone but that was about the same time that other reports were saying a body was pulled from it. Saying that things were seriously confused would be on the button. I'm waiting for a morning news brief from the Sheriff and identification of the body, assuming reports that they pulled one out of the cabin are right.

They say they got him. Charred remains found in cabin positively ID'd as Christopher Dorner, police reportCharred remains found in a burned out California cabin have been positively identified as that of fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller said the remains were identified through dental examination in the autopsy. Authorities said other personal effects were found in the cabin, including Dorner's license. Miller did not give a cause of death. I wonder if the far left will cry foul and make a hero out of him.
