I've known most of you folks as internet posters for a couple of years now. While I don't always agree with all of you all the time, I've developed a level of respect for every one on this board. I've seen you all conduct yourselves with wit, style and a fair amount of class while dealing with some pretty uncouth, ignorant, and uncompromisingly stupid posters.
Clearly, that's not the case here.
I'd suggest that some "reading for understanding" is in order here since I'm seeing multiple shitloads of "ready, fire, aim" reactions to things that were not being said.
This free speech thing is pretty special but it isn't unlimited. You can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater and your right to swing your fist stops somewhere shy of your neighbors nose.
While I'd like to see a free exchange of ideas here, I'll not let that pass as an excuse for bad behavior. I'm doubly embarrassed for anyone who can't grasp that.
A word to the wise should be sufficient.
Free speech is truly uncommon on boards like this.
Let's try not to fuck it up, shall we?
