news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050722/media_nm/media_game...NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUlThe Grand Theft Auto games are well known for their extreme violence, very harsh language, and the fact that the player can go on a Cop killing spree at will. Yet, only when SEX becomes an issue does America get their panties in a bunch. What's wrong with this country? I swear, if we have to abide this puritanical horse **** for munch longer, I'm moving to Europe.

Ever hear the quote - "My country, right or wrong."?
The idea that you want to leave this country simply because you disagree with a belief about sex is, well, absurd.
More and more, you are beginning to sound like the peeps who tried justifying dodging the draft by fleeing to Canada.
So - leave. No one's going to lose any sleep over it.

I'm already serving, you fucking half wit. And "My country, right or wrong" is bullshit. As far as I'm concerned, America is all but lost. So fuck it.

Boy it's a good thing we all agree with each other around here. Where's that moron Strat and the rest of the idiots from THC who say we just come here to have someone agree with us? Complete sentences are probably too complicated for him.

Mat, They're upset because they don't like the idea of their 8-9 year old kids playing a game that simulates sex. As I recall they had the same beef about the violence of the game. In the end they'll just be told not to buy the damn game. As for moving, if something this small can turn you against America, than I'd say go ahead and leave.

But the game wasn't rated adults only until sex was involved. Killing cops was ok, but sex seems to cross the line. WTF???

Well, I'm not really trying to make that argument, but yeah, the government should mind their own business. I'm trying to drive the point home that Americans think that unchecked violence, even against cops and the military, in entertainment is fine, but bring sex into it, and it's all of the sudden this horrible catastophy. As far as I'm concerned, it's people not getting laid enough who get all bent out of shape about this shit.

They rate the games so that parents can know what material their children will be playing. The companies individually decided to remove GTA from the shelves.

Maybe you're just a regular trollop.

I wouldn't want my children playing games especially that is about killing cops, military as much as I wouldn't want them seeing sex on their games.

I don't care if the companies decided to remove the game from the shelf. That's their call. I'm taking issue with the fact that the companies only decided to remove the game when sex became an issue, not cop killing, thus putting on full display America's unhealthy, puritanical outlook on sex. That's it. That's all I was getting at. You seem to be really hung up on the fact that I don't agree with pressing illegals into service, which is something you need to get over. Actually, I think you just need to get over yourself. You hang around here with this holier than thou attitude, when the fact is, you're really not that important. In fact, I fail to see how you have any real world experience as an adult while a full time college student. Why should anyone here take you seriously? Because you read alot? So do I. It doesn't mean shit.
