a friggin LUNATIC! Thank God this dolt is no longer President!
From Brit Hume's Grapevine:
Give Hamas a Chance
Former President Jimmy Carter says the U.S. shouldn't cut off aid to Palestinians just because their government is run by members of the radical Islamic group Hamas, saying, "Governments should recognize that administration and let them form their government."
Carter, who monitored last week's Palestinian elections, tells CNN that there's a "good chance" that Hamas will become a nonviolent government, saying the group told him they want to have a "peaceful administration."
Carter adds that he hopes the "people of Palestine, who already suffer under Israeli occupation" will not suffer because they are deprived of international aid.

You do realize that the Hamas candidates were elected using a democratic system, don't you? You do also realize that President Bush mirrored President Carter's sentiments, differentiated only by Bush's feelings that Hamas must denounce its violent past?
You can't have it any old way you like it, Bounce. If you push democracy, you have to be prepared accept that democracy is driven by the will of the people, not your personal political beliefs.
President Carter is right. Give it a chance before you condemn.

President Carter is right. Give it a chance before you condemn. Hey outsydr, I absolutely realize they are duly elected. However, as Krauthammer said in his article (I posted the link today on another thread), we need to recognize EXACTLY what was overwhelmingly elected. Hamas has the following covenants: www.fas.org/irp/world/para/docs/880818a.htmHere are the bullet points: THE COVENANT OF THE HAMAS - MAIN POINTS 1) The Destruction of Israel 2) The Exclusive Moslem Nature of the Area 3) The Call to Jihad 4) Rejection of a Negotiated Peace Settlement 5) Condemnation of the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty 6) Anti-Semitic Incitement OK, so these are their talking points. I'd say they've HAD THEIR, quote/unquote "CHANCE!!!" The Pals have overwhelming embraced this group to lead them into the future. I accept that they have made this decision. I DO NOT accept that we have to support it. Just because a government has been duly elected, does NOT mean we have to agree with it, support it and send it MONEY like Carter would do. AND, if BUSH sends them money, HE can kiss my ass too!

What I found really weird was Wolfowitz coming out and expressing opposition to cutting off funds to the new Palestinian "government."
I wonder what's behind that.

Is he just trying to earn a "I'm a beautiful person" button, or what?
Maybe he's stumping for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Wow. Yeah, I can see how it must be so frustrating for you guys to actually face REAL democracy sprouting around you, and guys like Paul Wolfowitz showing so much patience and humanitarianism must be very confusing.
Guys, again... get used to it! This IS how democracy works! If Hamas was chosen by the people of Palestine. I think they deserve to have our support until they do something that strips them of it.
We've been willing to accept different forms of government in our allies before. We are friends and/or trading partners with theocracies, monarchies, and dictatorships.
Why don't you stop fondling your crystal balls and see how this pans out, okay?

"The world must advise the Palestinian people that if their national will is to embrace Hamas -- its methods and its madness -- then their national will is simply too murderous and, yes, too depraved for the world to countenance, let alone subsidize." - Charles Krauthammer
Terrorists don't deserve one Goddam nickle from the US taxpayer.

Hamas recruits children, straps bombs to them, then sends them out to murder other peoples children. If the Palestinian people want to chose these murdering pigs to be their leaders, so be it. Let them live with the consequences of that choice. Not one thin dime of American tax payers money should be given to those animals. It is long past due that the international community stop coddling a people who teach hatred and blood lust to their children.

Paying attention......
Remember the US strike in Pakistan with the drone and then all the demonstrations and Pakistani officials saying the US had attacked civilians? What was that two three weeks ago? I really think these talking heads are all on drugs - because then the target of that attack came out in out in public and said - yah yah ya missed me butcher of washington. Anybody remember this? Am I going totally crazy? 'Cause now we have names and pictures of Al Qaeda members in Pakistan and its government. That was humint that targeted that dinner. And the folks who hit the streets were on direct orders. Do they not know that those news videos go into databases? Whaaaaaa?
Hamas - it's a terrorist organization. It says it's a terrorists organization. It attacks the EU in Gaza, right? Well - now it declares it's going to Latin America for a "tour"? Does it get dumber than dirt? We know those folks are there. We've been tracking them forever. Now Hamas is going to publicly pick out its supporters - and those folks who go onto the terrorists supporters lists - so that the governments in that region know that the USG is not only right, but their only protection from this variant of terrorism? There are groups of Muslims located at every border town in that region. They are all big time into contraband and work hard to stay under the radar. But they aren't. Now Hamas is openly stating that their mainstay of support - their first foreign tour is the traditional way of rank ordering allies - is there??? Well - thank you folks. Too many Latin American politicians poo-poohed US claims of the presence of Muslim terrorist there. Not now. Remember in Salvador the presidential election was between two Palestinians. I believe both were above board, but that - and Hamas' visit is going to make that racist lot perk up and want to cooperate just that little bit more with Americans. Americans, I should point out, whose families came from their countries or are married to a national. Our Latin American diplomatic and military face reflects the 15% hispanic population of the US.
Am I reading about any of this? The only thing talking heads are going on endless about is dead white ladies whose sexual misadventures I don't wanna know about.

Hey Cameron, here is another gem. Evidently this kid is FIVE MONTHS OLD! David's baby will be about this old by the Fourth of July! Nice huh? Complete with their own custom-fit suicide bomber belt! This shit is obscene! Jimmy Carter can see fit to subsidize the people these people have chosen to represent them.

This is what Hamas is doing to their children. They get younger everyday. Jimmy Carter seems to be OK with this. This is the Hamas leader smiling into the eyes of a soon to be suicide bomber. Terrorists in training.
