So, it's all Jimmy Carter's fault...? A man who has not held political office for over 25 years! Hey Outsydr, Jimmy Carter's problem is that every time he opens his mouth, he demonstrates for the world why he made such a miserable President. And, you're right about him not being in office for 25 years. So, why does he keep opening his mouth about international affairs? Don't just read the quote, silly! That's a link to the Bob Schiefer interview with Bush. Read it and see that the CURRENT president (the one actually able to do something relevant in this case) is saying the same thing that you're comdemning Carter for!!!
He does not say he'll withdraw from relations with Palestine. He does not threaten Palestine. And oddly, he does not stoop to posting pictures of babies dressed like terrorists in order to discredit the democratically elected leadership of Palestine. At worst, he says that they need to distance themselves from what they have represented in the past in order to continue to relate with the U.S.
Go on and read it, for heaven's sakes. Find something in what President Bush says that refutes in any significant fashion what President Carter said.
As for the "miserable" presidency of Jimmy Carter... Okay, I'll admit that there were a whole lot of mistakes made in those four years! But the man did broker the first Mideast Peace talk in history, by bringing Egypt and Israel together. So I think he just might know a slice or two more than many about diplomacy in that part of the world. SOME people have respect for that, and allow this man his rights to speak on this subject.

You should do some more research into the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. Carter was the window dressing the Egyptians needed to convene the peace conference. They wanted the Sinai back and were willing to work out a deal. Those pictures are not juvenile they are indicative of who and what we are dealing with. Pretending they are something other than what they are is not going to help, it will only make things worse. The administration is saying they must renounce violence, and recognize Israels right to exist, or no financial aid.

If so, just like a typical Liberal, you see the data and then draw the EXACTLY WRONG conclusion. If I understand you correctly, posting photos of mothers dressing their kids with suicide outfits is STOOPING, whereas the mothers WHO ARE ACTUALLY DRESSING THEIR KIDS WITH EXPLOSIVES (you know, the subject of the photos) is ignored or casually forgiven! You are blind to the truly OBSCENE SHIT and see my POSTING the photos as STOOPING. I hope I'm wrong and I have completely misread your point. I heard Condi say that we were NOT going to offer ANY financial aide to Hammas. Now, there was some payment that we had previously promised to another entity over there, but to PAY THESE BASTARDS knowing full well that the money was going to purchase explosives would be beyond comprehension IMHO. Mid East Peace talks huh??? You proud of that??? Didn't work worth a fuck now did it? However, Liberals are known to pride themselves on their INTENT rather than the RESULTS of their actions. Go ahead and look into it you will find I'm correct. They had already worked out the parameters of the deal. Egypt needed some cover to help placate domestic feelings about dealing with the Israelis, this is not top secret stuff. It's actually kind of well known.

The children bombers pose a "weak at best" military threat.
They're being indoctrinated and sacrificed in an attempt to help sway public opinion more than anything - and it doesn't exactly work of you ask me.
The Palestinians (who just overwhelmingly voted for Hamas - talking points previously posted) are starting their kids out VERY EARLY and poisoning their minds with this shit. You do not see that as obscene. No, the problem as you see it is we're not giving them enough US taxpayer money.
