Alright, I'm sure by NY standards you're middle class, but to the rest of the country you're rich.

Everyone knows the dream of a New Yorker is to one day live in New Jersey. No, thank you. No offense, Matt, but I love New York. Besides, if Kevin thinks New York is expensive, he should go to Jersey. I listen to Bob Grant (Conservative talk radio) on the radio and he lives in Jersey. I've never heard a guy complain so much about high taxes like he does about NJ. On top of that, you guys elected that moron, Jon Corzine.

I remember Bob Grant from when my grandfather would always listen to him. Corzine is not my doing, I volunteered to help the Forrester campaign.

Yeah, not that Forrester is the best candidate out there, but he would have been a far better Governor than Corzine.

But any alternative to Corzine is fine with me.

lol a bunch of wealthy conservatives who spend half their time complaining about the "elite" liberals See...I hate that crap. I have a lot of flashy things (ipod, oakley sunglasses and soon to be a motorcycle) and people automatically assume that 1) my parents bought them for me or 2) my family is just rich. Everything I have I bought on my own. I earned all of that money by working hard so that I can enjoy life. I never understood those who hate rich people. If you don't like it.......GET A JOB! I have three jobs in order to support my lifestyle. But you don't see me complaining about the "evil rich"....

lol a bunch of wealthy conservatives who spend half their time complaining about the "elite" liberals Look, stop staring at pictures of Osama's nephews and go out and work for a living. The elite is best represented by Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and that asshole you voted for in the 2004 Presidential election.

$400,000 will by you a very nice 3500 sf home in a nice neighborhood. We have seen an influx of both East and West coasties over the last few years who find equal jobs for slightly less income but a huge increase in disposable income. Many of these people just buy up the land and build just for the investment. The end result is that most middle incomes are being driven out of the market.
A sister-in-law just built a 4200 sf two story with a three car and a two car garage, full basement, four huge bedrooms with private baths, and a chief's dream kitchen for ~$422,000. Neither her nor her husband have college degrees, he did inherit some. But...
We don't have the night life, don't have the championship major league teams, don't have the mass transit, but most don't blow their entire salary on housing and utilities.

FF, I'm talking about mario, he lives in a million dollar house in NY and says he's middle class. Middle class, does not live like Mario lives, so when he (and others like him) complains about people who work three jobs and calls them "lazy looking for handouts" it irks me.

And we don't have the income. Same thing here, Titus. Although, with Lee building our own home, all of us doing the labor, we've built a home that would sell on the coast for an exhorbitant amount. We've got about 6,000 sq ft.
