Social security = government money = welfare. In fact -- social security is the largest welfare program the government has, and you're free-riding it. Are conservatives reversing themselves now on private individuals receiving public funds? Or is it okay for middle-class white Christian males, but not impoverished urban blacks?

Social Security doesn't work that way. The money you pay into it now isn't held in some vault until you're ready to take it. The government "borrows" it and spends it on something else -- which means everyone working now is paying for the people receiving SS checks now. Just because SS is a buy-in system does not mean it isn't welfare.
