He strikes me as being very threatened by you even in cyberspace. It also sounded like he's been cruising for a verbal bruising from the venom he unleashed today. There's a lot of history there I don't know about, but knowing you're going to be shut out from a place where you've been posting for years is not the time to burn any bridges. But, like your effort here, to try to repair them or build new ones to help replace what's been lost. Unfortunately, in that individual's case, an opportunity has been tossed. Muffin I saw some of Booboo's venom last night before I hit the rack. I seemed to me that over the last several days, since the closing was announced he decided he had nothing to lose and just cut loose at every opportunity with each day's performance outdoing the previous day. He reminds me strongly of the poster we last knew of as "Isgeorgealfredenewman." The conduct was very similar toward the end last night. On the bright side, we no longer have to worry about those particular trolls. Gotta run. When I get home this evening I'll log on again and hoist one and be in more of a festive mood appropriate to a true Irish wake. Cheers!

101 I would have loved to get PB out in the open, what a fucking tool. I have always wanted him in a forum he couldn't hide or get others to draw fire. He's too gutless to ever show here for that very reason, at least not without a new alias. Placing him on the NFW list was mostly symbolic but I can tell it really pissed him off. ;D

I will, Grizz - a lot of sightseeing left to do. Where is TC? He's got some sidesplitting stuff to share too. Has he taken another trip? M. Hi Murph, I'm here......... but I wish I was still in the Keys. Real easy to slip into the laid back, party all day lifestyle of "The Conch Republic". Here's an Irish drinking song made famous by George Armstrong Custer. It's still tied to Armor and Cavalry even though they've traded their horses for tanks, and helicopters.

Great to see you back, TC! When you weren't here last night, I figured you might'a gone fishin. I've heard about the Keys - a great real life friend who just retired is looking to find a house there as we speak. Looking forward to partying with y'all here later. ;D I need to get off the 'net for a bit - real life business is calling. I.e., the Yankees are up 6-2 on the Angels in the 7th and need me to cheer them on in the other room on the couch. Your Rays will be in the Bronx this weekend and looking forword to shooting the bull with you about how that's gonna turn out. ;D See you back at the Wake a little later. And thanks for the great music too! Murph

The company server blocks youtube and a lot of other fun sites. ***** I have the same problem too with no "streaming media" allowed, Sailor, made worse by telecommuting a lot through a network that is as slow as molasses in January. I could get high speed, but I'd be paying for it, and I'm not about to pay my employer so I can do my job. Plus, I'd have computer equipment all over the place and besides there not being a lot of room for it, I need someplace to eat. But, you and I both manage somehow, despite the limitations. See you later at the Wake! ;D Arethusa

Can't see it, but I can imagine. Tweaked that swine pretty hard with my parting shots. I only wish I could have done the same with MPA and some of the others.

Home is for relaxation and working on HPHPs (High Priority Home Projects) like my boats or lower ones like working on the house. I went with highspeed internet years ago, dialup is just too damned ... frustrating. I have my PC downstairs and a laptop upstairs in my "shipyard" workroom. Mrs has a laptop as well and we've found a password protected wireless setup works out pretty well.

Well, to hell with him. The party is on. Here's a little ditty dedicated to our past and present Naval personnel. Drink up me hearties - Yo Ho! I haven't heard that one all the way through in a long time. Thanks.

Hi Again, Sailor, Sooner or later I'll figure out how to do the quote function that allows copying of what you said onto my post. LOL Anyway, they gave me wireless nearly two years ago and it works fine, except the connection to the network where my files are located is very balky and slow because the mainframe to which it's connected should've been replaced years ago. I can do the internet simply from the wireless provider, but it's temperamental too. When it's raining or it's very humid, it will bounce me out in a NY second. Did that just a few minutes ago and I had to get the thing going all over again. Most of my work is writing. Sort've like a newspaper columnist who writes at home, with an occasional trip to the office to drop off or pick up a file. And, I'm required to be here all day on the weekdays in case the office staffers or my boss need my help with something. So, I'm usually here off and on from 7 a.m. until about 4:30 and not at nights on the weekdays - and if I'm going to borrow some time to post, it's usually about a really big issue or discussion going on about something that I'm really interested in - and that would happen mainly on the weekend. Or in the early morning hours when I'm up with the birds during baseball season to do the thread I used to have at THC and now at HFTM all by itself. So, that way, I handle the limitations of this equipment and the demands of my job that I'm usually doing all the time no matter what time of day or night it is. ;D Arethusa

Another quote from the Moonbat Hall of Fame"
Tankey, on global warming.
"Since human activity is a large part of this warming trend, we need to stop it."

Another quote from the Moonbat Hall of Fame" Tankey, on global warming. "Since human activity is a large part of this warming trend, we need to stop it." That's priceless! ;D I started reading in the Moonbat quotes' library earlier today - still have a ways to go, but it is definitely entertaining material. My question about Tankey is whether or not anyone was ever able to find out for sure whether she/he is male or female? Seems that remained an outstanding issue about several of the people who posted there. ;D Must leave now for another early morning. Enjoy the Wake and "see" ya' tomorrow. Muffin

Tankey is female who used to post as Lepidoptera. Lep made a bunch of rather outrageous predictions for the 2004 elections and was totally hyperventilating how good life was going to be under President Kerry.
When Kerry, lost she left the board for six weeks or so (rehab?) and returned as Tankey, pretending to be a male (I have a "Johnson) and a veteran.
After she was busted in that act, she climed to have the hots for Vince. the Sham-Wow spokesmouth.
She was banned under more names than you'll find in a small town's white pages.
Pure psycho.
