Another quote from the Moonbat Hall of Fame" Tankey, on global warming. "Since human activity is a large part of this warming trend, we need to stop it." That's priceless! ;D I started reading in the Moonbat quotes' library earlier today - still have a ways to go, but it is definitely entertaining material. My question about Tankey is whether or not anyone was ever able to find out for sure whether she/he is male or female? Seems that remained an outstanding issue about several of the people who posted there. ;D Must leave now for another early morning. Enjoy the Wake and "see" ya' tomorrow. Muffin No way to know for certain, but Lepid always 'felt' like a female, to me. Hi, btw!

Lepi, Imortalundercover, JChristy (Harry), Dave-Been kicked out of Israel. *Sigh* I think one of my favorites still has to be from ANU who was pitching a fit about Operation Enduring Freedom... you know... the war in Iraq. Upon being corrected through the course of conversation (You're welcome) he/she/it flew into a tirade about how such details weren't important enough to be bothered with. It was a true WTF moment in the arena of people bitching without actually knowing what it is they're bitching about (A pet peeve of mine). That was the first and only time I tried carrying on a conversation with ANU. So many more... *Sigh* F

I always pictured anus living on the dole in a London slum buying ganja and bandwidth with his welfare check.

I always pictured anus living on the dole in a London slum buying ganja and bandwidth with his welfare check. I always thought of ANUS as the "Tokyo Rose" of radical Muslims. This country couldn't do anything right in his eyes, all the while professing he likes Americans. His one and only post to me was in 101's "July 4th" thread after I'd posted the complete verses to "The Star Spangled Banner". After which, Anus blasted: "Stop the killing!" Sheesh. Arethusa

She even had a following of male posters who sang her praises until the end. They couldn't all be playing for the other team. I was thinking too of supposedly male posters who might be hormonally overwrought women in reality. And no, I am not tarring my gender as such, generally. Am taking that impression from their constant tendency to sound shrill and shrieky with posts ringing with words spelled in big capital letters. Treeman, SplitInfinity and Anu sounding the most menopausal, in my opinion. Arethusa

ScientistX rarely knew what he was talking about. he believes that the 3-5% tax cuts under Bush are the reason for a host of economic issues. He sees the end of the American elitism as the election of Ronald Reagan. he doesn't understand causality, in fact if issues important to him were impeded changed or damaged while Barry Manilow was playing on the radio, he would swear a blood oath against Manilow.
I have sworn a Blood oath against manilow but for completely different reasons.

Sci rigidly adhered to the mistaken belief that the prosperity of the 50s and 60's were the result of high marginal tax rates rather than in spite of them.

Indeed 101, I heard more than one economist say that the high marginal rates of the 1950's were actually a needed brake on an economy in which inflation might otherwise run wild as industry was running mass overtime filling pent up material needs not only in this country but from around much of the world as the industry of much of Japan and Europe was only then being rebuilt. And of course there was a mass of cash in the hands of consumers, pent up again during the war years and the pay of the servicemen who had only recently gotten home, many with nice nest eggs of unspent pay in hand. All that cash chasing a finite amount of material goods is a good receipe for crazy inflation. The high tax rates pulled some of that cash out of the economy and into the government shredder. Sci also forgets (conveniently) that the tax laws back then with regard to tax deductions were actually (pardon me) quite liberal so the 90% tax rate at the top and rates all down the line in reality were much less. The "tax loopholes" in place then would cause today's libtards heads to spin around like tops and then explode. And if my recollections or understanding are wrong I'm sure a certain "Ghost" will thump me upside the head and correct me.
