the Yankees over DD's A's to sweep that 3 game Memorial Day Weekend away series;

TC's Rays over Fader's Red Sox to win that 3 game Memorial Day Weekend away series, 2-1; and

SFV's Giants over the Fish to leave that 4 game Memorial Day Weekend away series tied at 2-2.


Losses sustained by other of our teams yesterday were: the Phillies to the Cardinals, but winning that 4 game Memorial Day Weekend away series, 3-1, anyway; LW's Rockies to the Reds to lose their 3 game Memorial Day Weekend away series, 1-2; and Socialcaesar's Blue Jays to Texas and Rem 16's Cubs to the Pirates to be swept in their 3 game Memorial Day Weekend series.

Johan Santana's No Hitter Yesterday:

Major MLB news today is silly money Mets' starter, Johan Santana's, throwing of the first no-hitter in the 51 season history of the franchise in an 8-0 drubbing of the Cards yesterday, thus apparently justifying the loot laid down to hire the two-time Cy Young Award winner with the Twins in February of 2008.

According to the report linked below from Yahoo Sports, Santana's is the 3rd no-hitter this season following Philip Humber's for the CWS on April 21st and Jered Weaver's for the Angels on May 2nd.

On Friday night, June 8th, the Bronx Bombers and Hiroki Kuroda will participate in the latest round of MLB Interleague play with a weekend subway homestand series versus the NY Mets - featuring Johan Santana as their starter - in a game scheduled to get underway at 7:05 p.m., EDT. The Yankees and Phil Hughes will undertake to undermine the Mets and Dillon Gee on Saturday night, June 9th, beginning at 7:15 p.m., EDT. On Sunday afternoon, June 10th, the Yanks and Andy Pettitte will test the mettle of the Mets and Jonathon Niese starting at 1:05 p.m., EDT.
