One Reporter's Opinion: America Imploding

It is this reporter's opinion that America is witnessing a sellout by the administration and its cabal to vested interests. If enacted – and it appears to be a fait accompli – the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S.2611) could be the most dangerous legislation in U.S. history. Let me say it again: It would allow an estimated 103 million persons to LEGALLY enter the United States over the next 20 years – about one-third of our current population.
A new Zogby poll of likely voters finds that Americans prefer the House of Representatives' bill, H.R. 4437, over the Senate's 2611 more than two to one. But apparently the president and a majority of senators are not listening to the very people who put them in office. Americans want LESS, not MORE, immigration.
We've been this route before – 2611, the Senate immigration bill, is almost a carbon copy of the 1986 amnesty that failed miserably! Between 80 percent and 85 percent of the voters want enforcement first ... THEN take up the other issues.
S.2611 would give amnesty to 10 million ILLEGALS and quintuple the rate of LEGAL immigration. It would transform the U.S. socially, economically, politically – dramatically different from what exists today.
Adding insult to injury, 2611 adds the right to bring in spouses and minor children – to be granted permanent residency on the road to citizenship. And add to that an immigrant's right to bring his parents into the U.S. also as permanent residents with the opportunity for citizenship. And there are no limits on the number of spouses, dependent children and parents that may be brought into the country.
S.2611 also offers amnesty and citizenship to 85 percent of the nation's current 12 million illegal immigrants. Under the plan, illegals who have been in the U.S. for five years or more (60 percent of illegals) would be granted immediate amnesty. And foreign workers could enter the U.S. as guest workers if they have a job offer from a U.S. employer.
Bush's guest worker program is an open door based on the demands of U.S. business. It would allow an unlimited number of workers and their dependents to enter the U.S. from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD and become citizens. It is an open-border provision!
The Census Bureau reports that by the year 2050 our U.S. population could rise to over 500 million and if not stopped now, it could rise to 1 billion in the year 2100 – just behind that of China and India. Yet, in spite of all of these frightening statistics, the Senate and the president appear ready to sell out America.
What do they plan to do with the 15 to 20 million illegals that they would give amnesty and back-door citizenship? What would they do when an additional 30 to 45 million relatives enter the program? If they receive amnesty, it would spell Social Security, economic and cultural disaster for the USA.
I've said it before, I'll say it again; it's all so obvious the three things we can do to save America:
1. Close the borders.
2. Put the employers who hire illegals in jail.
3. Eliminate the freebies.
... and they'll all go home.
It is this reporter's opinion that come November we will have an opportunity to vote for 435 congresspeople and one-third of the Senate. Will the voters remember in November those who voted to stab America in the back? Call the Capitol switchboard toll free – 1-877-762-8762 or 1-866-340-9281. Tell your senators and your congresspeople it's time to vote for H.S. 4437 and against S.2611. It could be the most important vote ever cast for the future of America.
It is said that all great nations that have fallen have done so from within; as Arnold Toynbee said, "Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder." Is that what is in store for us?
