That is exactly why they hid the body. I doubt they'll ever find the others. Anyone who is calling it the religion of peace is either a liberal moron w/a political agenda or a Muslim w/obvious bias.

Here's the deal. Most of the kidnappings in Iraq are financially motivated and have NOTHING to do with driving out the infadels or getting in scotch with allah. These are gangs that are out for one thing, money. You have it and you get your family member, employee, friend, REPORTER, whoever back. They kidnap anyone that looks like they can pay regardless of nationality. Including Iraqis, not that you see this in the news since it portrays the "Brave Insurgents fighting the cruel invaders" as they really are...Fucking scum.

The Liberal Loonies would say "Violence never solved anything." Horseshit - It ended WWII and with proper application can probably end this problem too. I like the way you think 101.

Hey First I saw a think on the BBC last May that somewhere around 350 Iraqis had been beheaded by these people. The reported stated that hundreds of others had been kidnapped for money to fund the Jihad. Any word on this?

If I may: The Bosnian-Muslims I worked, lived among, and met certainly did not think or act like these moronic people do.
In his book, Love Thy Neighbor: A Story of War, author Peter Maas describes Bosnian-Muslims as the "world's worst Muslims." His description is not meant as a slight but is accurate: they love to drink, smoke, and party. When I asked a Bosnian about this, his emphatic response was: "We are Bosnians first, Muslim second!" More than one Bosnian-Muslim held this belief.
When 9/11 occurred, I witnessed several Bosnian-Muslims crying and cursing the terrorists; my landlord and his family continuously apologized to me for the actions of fellow Muslims. On 9/13, I had to take a trip to Camp Butmir in Sarajevo and I saw an amazing sight. Our route took us past the U.S. Embassy and the entire wall surrounding the embassy was covered with flowers, cards, and notes -- it was pretty moving.
While in Iraq, I have noticed that most of the Iraqis that I have met are very similar to their Bosnian counterparts and they are extremely friendly.

Same for the Afghans I've met. The idea of killing innocents, children, the elderly, dishonorable acts carried out by cowards.

Islam is not a religion of peace. It is not a religion of tolerance nor of charity. Islam was born in and is defined by war. Muhammad did not spread his message through lecture or rallies but instead by conquest. The Palestinians do not appeal their conditions through protest or legislation, but through carnage and violence. The lesson given to us by Islam is that the law of nature is struggle. We are at war. It is only to the advantage of our enemy to believe otherwise.

much in school. How much longer do you have before graduation? Or did I get you confused with another college student.
I was wondering what the liberal campuses were teaching concerning Islam. I read the Qur'an, Hadeth, and have studied the Tenets of Islam. It amazes me at just how intolerant they all read.
It appears the foundational disagreement between Islam and Christianity is the premise that Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit are "three in one." Both the Jewish Torah and Talmud and the Books of the Prophet are very clear that there is "No God but God." Or to put that as it was given to Moses: "I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other Gods before me."
Unfortunately, Islam is much like Christianity of the "dark ages", people are taught that they are too stupid to understand and must rely on "learned men" to teach them. With such a monopoly on belief, it is no wonder that Abdul and Joseph are so eager to repeat what they hear and not what the "scriptures" teach.
"You can't fight a war against an '-ism.' It's a continuing struggle," Rimington, the head of MI5 from 1992 to 1996

Tittus, I am not learning much in school (I have two years left, I am one year behind James). What propaganda they peddle certainly does not justify its cost. The school and curriculum lean towards liberal ideas. Concerning Islam, it is passed off as a religion of peace that has been "hi-jacked". My instructor attempted to persuade the class that even jihad once held a different meaning (inner struggle). A friend of mine attending a different university is taking a class on Islam itself, and his professor, while also projecting that it is a religion of peace, straightly said my professor was wrong in regards to jihad. Islam is misunderstood. But typically that means one is underestimating the positives or benefits of another. History has me convinced that we are underestimating Islam's destructive capacity. What people believe it to be is different from the historical record. Even National Socialism appealed to millions. It appealed to the rational and to the sane. It appealed to workers and businessmen. But in the end its functions only served to facilitate war and genocide. Islam is no different.
I remember recently attending a student representative council meeting where an argument erupted. A student "representative" was upset that the day chosen by the Mexican club for a celebration was also the last day available for the University to host Constitution Day. Consitution Day is a federal mandate that must be recognized for the University to receive federal funds. The "representative" wanted to move (or skip) Constitution Day because his club had already locked that day for their minor celebration. I burned up with anger inside. First - Consitution Day is required by the government for funding. That in itself overrides whatever trivial activities any minor club has planned. Second - the Constitution is what binds our identity as Americans, regardless of background. We are all Americans. Not all of us are Mexican or even Hispanic.
There are so many problems and they are all so interconnected that sometimes I have trouble organzing my thoughts on them. But I have become convinced that a universal problem facing us is the conduct and standards of our schools.

AmericanPride -
If I may, I would like to suggest reading Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror by Bernard Lewis. I think it is a very good book despite its relative shortness -- 160-some pages.
I have started reading another book by Bernard Lewis: What Went Wrong? The Clash Between Islam and Modernity in the Middle East
